MASTER BEDROOM & SMALL SECOND BATHROOM
Redesign of a house interior, bought while under construction. Project year: 2008-2009.
Private Client
Underlying the design decisions of this work was the Client’s request to make the most of the view of the lake and to try to use the available space to full advantage. This meant replacing almost all of the walls of the master bedroom and the living area with large windows and leaving the internal connecting stairs completely open, so that the living area gained in both size and depth, also in visual terms. The same materials of the staircase, stainless steel, light-coloured wood and black iron, are echoed in the light-coloured wooden doors and window frames and the metallic decorative fireplace, while the beige flooring serves as a neutral background to the whole area allowing complete freedom in choosing colours for the furnishings, which are in fact taken from the matte finish of the interior doors.
In the small second bathroom, the interplay of bright grass green with the unique pattern of the 1970s style multi-coloured motifs bestows character on a small space which is not completely separate from the adjacent utility area.
